The honest answer to "why not just book it myself?"

You can. Google Flights and Booking.com aren't going anywhere, and we'll happily point you to them ourselves when that's genuinely the better option — we're not trying to replace them. What we do that a search engine can't is the part that actually determines whether a trip works out: knowing which questions to ask before you book anything, catching the visa timeline problem before it becomes a crisis, and telling you honestly when a destination doesn't fit your budget or your dates — even when that costs us the booking.

Booking it yourself

  • You do the research across ten tabs
  • Visa requirements are your problem to verify
  • No one tells you if the trip doesn't actually fit
  • If something breaks on the ground, you're on your own

Planning with us

  • A decade of real cases informs the recommendation
  • Visa guidance grounded in what we've actually seen work
  • We'll say "this doesn't fit" before we say "book it"
  • A real person, not a ticket number, if something goes wrong

The person behind it

My career in travel started in 2005 at Cox & Kings — that's where I learned the fundamentals of this industry. From 2007 to 2009, I was with SOTC, working in leisure holidays and learning how differently every traveller actually thinks. From 2009 to 2014, I was with Thomas Cook, finishing as Senior Manager — leading holiday sales, managing teams, handling high-value customers, and building real expertise across international destinations, visas, and operations.

The biggest lesson from those years wasn't from one incident — it was realizing that people rarely remember the flight or the hotel. They remember how the trip made them feel. A travel consultant's real job isn't to sell a package. It's to understand why someone is travelling, and design the right experience around that.

I've now travelled to more than 35 countries myself. Switzerland, Iceland, and New Zealand shaped my thinking about this work more than any others — each one taught me that thoughtful planning and genuine attention to detail don't just improve a trip. They change what it becomes for the person living it.

"I don't believe in selling the most expensive holiday. I believe in recommending the right one. Long-term trust is worth far more than a single booking."
